What is Contaminated Soil?
Contaminated soil, is soil that has been contaminated with any hazardous waste and will require lab testing, the disposal method would depend on the contamination level.
Contaminated soil requires solidification processing to determine which treatment method needs to be applied to stabilise and condition the sludge or liquids in the soil. This is done in order to immobilize the contaminant by applying pozzolanic compounds (such as fine silicate), lime or cement in order for it to be safely disposed of, so that it can be applied into reclamation projects or compost.
